Michelle Atlas is an ICF Certified Coach, a Newfield Certified Coach a Certified Resiliency Facilitator, a Sacred Money Archetypes Certified Coach and a Certified Workforce Development Professional.
With over 25 years of experience working with people navigating the complexities of transition, Michelle helps people use the changes and challenges inevitable in a life well lived, to strengthen their innate resilience, and transform limiting beliefs and behaviors, so they can experience greater effectiveness, richness and fulfillment in every area of their life.
Michelle’s passionate commitment to personal transformation began when she was 13 years old. She became very curious why some friends and family members, when faced with adversity, whether it be in a relationship, at work, or with a health or financial challenge, reacted with resentment and anger, and crystallized in that experience, while others, responded with optimism, reached out for support and learned meaningful life lessons. Although her own family life was, by no means, easy, she knew, intrinsically, that within every human being, there exists, the potential for true happiness and the capacity to create an authentic, love filled life.
Her quest led her to a yoga and meditation community that also did community development and community service work. For 12 years, immediately after completing her degree in American studies and graduating from college, she lived and worked there. When it was time to move on, she became a Vocational Rehabilitation professional, and for 18 years, coached people who were transitioning from a medically focused lifestyle, to mainstream life and work. She treated this as a laboratory, within which, she and her clients learned together, about the diverse ways that people navigate change. Michelle also served as board member to the Workforce Diversity Network, where in partnership with the Executive Director, she helped to create a world-class organization committed to the benefits of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. She has been interviewed and quoted extensively on topics relative to diversity in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, and Managing Diversity magazine.
It was in 2008, when Michelle discovered the resilience work of the late Dr. Al Siebert, in his book “The Resiliency Advantage” that she found answers to the questions she had been soul-searching to answer since adolescence, regarding why some people survive, and in some cases thrive through challenge and change, and others don’t. Her connection to Al Siebert, led to certification as a Resiliency Facilitator. Invitations to teach Resilient Leadership seminars to a cross-section of top level federal government leaders as adjunct faculty, at retreat sites throughout the US, soon followed. Michelle now, certifies others, in the work of Al Siebert, for the International, Al Siebert Resiliency Center. She has also integrated the emerging findings on the neuroscience of resilience into her Resilient Leadership seminars, and continues to experience great satisfaction helping leaders strengthen their personal resilience and learn practices to cultivate resilient teams.
Consistent with Michelle’s commitment to discovering the growth potential in change and loss, and her natural strength working with people one-on-one and small groups, she wanted to become a truly masterful transformational coach. It was this impulse that led her to become a Newfield Certified Coach and then an International Coaches Federation Certified Coach. By incorporating holistic, ontological coaching strategies that engage language, emotion and movement, Michelle exponentially fortified her already strong, personal development skill set.
The most recent addition to Michelle’s transformational toolbox is her Money Mastery Program. She has learned, that at the core of our relationship with our life, exists our relationship to prosperity; how we experience our value, how we give and receive to ourselves and others and how much we will allow ourselves to receive through life.
The coaching and training that Michelle provides through her company, Trust Change, is a blend of the best of her expertise on strengthening resilience, her transformational coaching skills and her capacity to help people empower their relationship to money. She has experienced that when our spiritual values, our personal growth goals, our professional growth goals and our money mindset are all aligned, there is absolutely nothing we cannot achieve.
Michelle comes equipped with a huge transformational toolbox, to help you take tangible, life-changing steps toward a more authentic and fully expressed life. Skillful coaching is the most effective tool she knows, to unlock the prison of past conditioning and catapult one into the realm of new possibilities. She knows, because she lives everything that she offers.
